The Duck and the Kangaroo is a postgraduate picturebook project based on Edward Lear’s classic nonsense poem. Through two contrasting visual approaches—graphite drawing and coloured pencil textures—I explored how different materials can shape atmosphere, character, and narrative rhythm. By reimagining the playful journey between the duck and the kangaroo, this project celebrates friendship, adventure, and the joy of companionship.
